Happy Players Drama Club
Drama is not just for teenagers! On Wednesday mornings, the ASB Primary students have their own drama club, aptly named “Happy Players”. Taking into account their age range, general linguistic ability and overall ability to comprehend a variety of drama activities, there are two different groups proposed: Lower Primary for our younger students and Upper Primary for our older students.
Our objectives are to offer children further exposure to spoken English by developing their self-confidence and speaking skills whilst giving them the opportunity to express themselves through adapted drama activities. Our goal is to create a fun atmosphere where children are mixed within their groups in order to encourage a broad, more natural use of the English language. One of the aims of the drama club is to work towards presenting a Christmas concert. This is performed to the whole school where parents are invited to watch and join in the celebrations. We believe Happy Players drama club helps to develop confident, happy children!
