Job Opportunity: ENGLISH TEACHER (MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL)

ASB, the Anglophone Section at Institut Notre Dame in Saint Germain-en-Laye, is looking to recruit a qualified, native English-speaking, full-time English Language and Literature teacher for middle school and high school to begin in September 2023. The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of French, a degree in English Literature (or related subject), a teaching qualification from an English-speaking country, and experience teaching English Language and Literature at the middle school and/or high school levels. Experience teaching the Cambridge IGCSE English First Language, English Second Language, and/or English Literature curricula will be highly valued, but is not a prerequisite. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, flexible, highly organized, and works well in a team. All candidates must either be in possession of a valid French work permit or hold EU citizenship. (Please note that this is not an English as a Foreign Language teaching post.)

Job Opportunity: HISTORY COORDINATOR AND TEACHER (MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL)

ASB, the Anglophone Section at Institut Notre Dame in Saint Germain-en-Laye, is looking to recruit a qualified, native English-speaking, full-time History Coordinator and Teacher for middle school and high school to begin in September 2023. 

The History Coordinator would be responsible for coordinating the team of middle school and high school History teachers; harmonizing the History program within grade levels; revising and implementing a comprehensive scoping sequence; determining (along with fellow teachers) appropriate textbooks and curricula to be used in each year group; providing support and resources to the team; meeting regularly with History teachers to ensure a smooth progression throughout the program; and teaching middle school and high school History lessons.

The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of French, a degree in History (or related subject), a teaching qualification from an English-speaking country, and experience teaching History at the middle school and/or high school levels. Experience teaching the Cambridge IGCSE History (0470) curriculum and previous involvement with MUN will be highly valued, but are not prerequisites. The ideal candidate is highly organized and pro-active, possesses good time management skills, has the ability to communicate effectively, and works well in a team. While previous coordinating experience is a plus, this is a great opportunity for a History teacher who is looking to take on further responsibilities and progress professionally. All candidates must either be in possession of a valid French work permit or hold EU citizenship.

Job Opportunity: SHORT-TERM SUPPLY TEACHER (ALL LEVELS)

ASB, the Anglophone Section at Institut Notre Dame in Saint Germain-en-Laye, is actively looking to hire a qualified, native English-speaking, Supply Teacher for occasional short-term cover for English Language, Literature, and/or History classes at both our Primary and Secondary campuses. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, flexible, and highly organized and has demonstrable teaching experience. All candidates must either be in possession of a valid French work permit or hold EU citizenship.
